Dawn Wolfe, Marketing communications
Dawn has more than 20 years’ experience as a journalist and nonprofit communications writer. She has worked as a local reporter for Between the Lines, a newspaper serving Michigan’s LGBT community, where her work was cited by UCLA’s Williams Institute. She was the first Director of Communications for the Triangle Foundation, the predecessor organization to Equality Michigan, a statewide advocacy group for LGBTQ citizens.

Dawn began work as a media and marketing consultant in 2006. Her clients have included the Detroit Metropolitan Bar Association Foundation, Detroit foster children’s charity For The Seventh Generation, and Equality Michigan. She has also edited and contributed substantial content for two books on major gift fundraising for nonprofits organizations.

As part of the RK Communications team, Dawn helped execute a comprehensive statewide media campaign for the Michigan for Marriage coalition, leading up to the historic Supreme Court decision on marriage equality in 2015.
