About RK Communications

You talk. We listen. Then we help you tell your story – by placing news stories, features and op-eds in print, Internet and broadcast media. And with effective delivery of targeted messaging, we can also help you connect with your members, clients or customers – and with key opinion leaders.

We produce eye-catching video, awesome infographics, web and social media solutions… and we craft the strategy to make it all hang together.

Our clients include labor unions, environmental groups, community organizations and private companies. There’s no fee for an initial consultation, so contact us today to discuss your next communications project.

Here’s our story. What’s yours?

Below, a few highlights of how the RK Communications team has helped our clients achieve their objectives. If you’ve got a story to tell, give us a shout. We’re fast, flexible – and militant about meeting your needs on time and on budget.

Love WinsLove Wins: Working with Michigan for Marriage, we placed wall-to-wall media coverage across the state leading up to the Supreme Court’s June 2015 ruling in favor of marriage equality. Thanks to advance planning and extensive media training for couples and advocates, we organized five news conferences in five cities within 90 minutes of the historic announcement.

Silica ActionSafety matters: With timely news releases, hard-hitting reports, awesome infographics – and a few other tools – we’ve placed hundreds of stories in both English and Spanish media for the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health. We’ve also more than doubled the organizations reach on social media, helped boost conference attendance, and led a grassroots campaign for stricter limits on exposure to deadly silica dust.

OrganizeA packed house: We handled advance promotion, website development, social media and video production for the National Organizers Workshop, a project of the AFL-CIO Organizing Institute. The result: an overflow crowd, with turnout exceeding initial expectations.
